Are children welcome?
Yes! Kids are more than welcome. We'd love to have the whole family there.
What should I wear?
Garden formal. Midi or maxi dresses in rich, mid-tone, or pastel colors for the women; suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt for the men, tie optional. Please avoid white, beige, silver, and very pale colors. The full guide is on the details page, with a Pinterest board to follow.
How do I get to Presidente Prudente?
Fly into São Paulo–Guarulhos (GRU), then take a short domestic flight to Presidente Prudente (PPB). The travel page lists the airlines and a suggested itinerary.
When should I arrive?
We're suggesting a Wednesday-evening flight from the U.S. that lands Thursday morning. Friday evening is the welcome party, and Saturday is the wedding. There's a day-by-day plan on the travel page.
Do I need a visa for Brazil?
If you're traveling on a U.S. passport, yes. Since April 2025 Americans need an e-visa, applied for online at brazil.vfsevisa.com . It costs about US$81 and is valid for ten years. Approval usually takes a few days but can take longer, so apply a couple of months ahead. Airlines won't board you without it.
Where should I stay?

How will I get to the venue?
We're arranging a shuttle between the hotel and Palazzo Salvattori on the night of the wedding. If you'd rather drive, there's parking at the venue (address on the details page), and Uber works in Presidente Prudente.
What's the weather like in August?
August is the dry season in Presidente Prudente: sunny days around 28–30 °C (mid-80s °F) and cooler evenings near 15 °C (60 °F). Bring a light layer for after dark.
Do I need to speak Portuguese?
It's not required, but a few words go a long way and everyone will love that you tried. The two of us and plenty of family and friends speak both languages, and we'll make sure everyone is looked after.
What about money?
Brazil uses the real (R$). Cards and phone taps are accepted almost everywhere, so there's little need to carry cash. Let your bank know you're traveling.
Who's invited?
Everyone who's invited is named on your invitation. We're keeping it to the people on the envelope, so no plus-ones unless one is listed. Thank you for understanding.
What happens if it rains?
Palazzo Salvattori's grand hall is beautiful, and air-conditioned, rain or shine. The celebration happens either way.
